RIO HONDO/SAN BENITO, TX. – Cpl Eliseo G. Garza, Jr. USMC, born on September 10, 1991, died on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Quantico, Virginia. He was 23.
Eliseo, Jr. was actively serving our nation as a corporal enlisted with the United States Marine Corps, stationed at the Marine Corps Base Quantico located in Quantico, Virginia. He enjoyed drawing, watching a variety of movies, staying in shape by exercising, and most importantly, he loved spending time with his beloved sons.
Survivors include his loving wife, Angelica Perez; their children, Eliseito and Diego; parents, Eliseo and Alma D. Garza; and sister, Alma L. Garza.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at ten o’clock in the morning, in St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 228 Huisache Avenue, Rio Hondo, Texas 78583.
Visiting hours will follow after the funeral mass Saturday, beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
Visiting hours will resume the following morning on Sunday, May 24, 2015, beginning at nine o’clock and concluding at two o’clock in the afternoon. The funeral procession will then depart the funeral home chapel en route to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, where committal services will follow with military honors.
