Elida (Mendoza) Vital

Elida M. Vital, 86, peacefully passed from this life August 22, 2022 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito, Texas. She was born August 6, 1936 to the late Juan Mendoza and Savina Torres Mendoza in Mendoza, Texas.

She was employed for several years as a Home Health Provider. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Elida was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Vital; her son, Emilio “Gordy” Vital Jr.; her grandson, Guadalupe Maldonado Jr.; her parents, Juan and Savina T. Mendoza; brother, Ismael Mendoza; and her sisters, Olivia M. Amaro and Angelina M. Gonzalez.

Left to treasure her memory is Elida’s daughter, Juanita V. Maldonado; her grandchildren, Michael (Wendy) Maldonado, Esteban (Stephanie) Maldonado, Sarah (Gabriel) Garza, Laura (Jimmie) Davidson, her great-grandchildren, Michael M. Jr., Evan M., William M., Ryan M., Hope E., Esteban M. Jr., Adilyn M., Noah M., Gael F., Joshua M., Vivian M., Layla G., and Lily G.; and her longtime friend, Ascensión C. Ochoa.
