Elida Carrion Villarreal

Elida Carrion Villarreal peacefully passed from this life at her daughter Teresita’s home in La Feria, Texas on October 12, 2020 at the age of 83.

Elida enjoyed life and was a woman of great faith.  She loved to dance and used her artistic flair to create beautiful arts and crafts.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Laura L. (Humberto) Resendez, Prajedez Lozano, Cindy L. (Les) Logsdon, Missy Villarreal, Joe (Gracie) Villarreal, Jr., and Teresita V. (Sergio) Castillo; 17 grandchildren; and, 24 great-grandchildren.

Elida’s family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.  A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin Thursday evening at 7 o’clock.  A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, October 16, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Rio Hondo, Texas.  Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
