Eleanor L. Reinhold

July 29, 1942 — October 5, 2016

Eleanor Louise Reinhold, 74, of Harlingen, went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2016. She was at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center fighting Leukemia courageously.
Eleanor was born July 29, 1942, in Dexter, Maine, to the late John and Barbara (Lincoln) Mathes.
She is survived by Robin Reinhold (daughter), Richard (Joan) Mathes, Dale (Ann) Mathes, Joan Mathes siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry C. Reinhold, father and mother John and Barbara Mathes.
She earned an associates Degree at Boston University and a BS in Nursing at the University of Maine, Fort Kent.  Eleanor was a wife, mother, aunt.  She was a volunteer rescue squad member, real estate broker, and business manager in Amherst, NH.  Eleanor's nursing career included working in nursing homes, home health, research nurse for trial drugs, and as a medical missionary with Faith Medical Missions.  She went on over 80 medical missions serving the poor around the world.  Her passion was to set up a feeding location and school for children in Guatemala where over 150 children receive food and basic education.
Eleanor loved to travel and learn the local culture through food.  She spread Gods word wherever she traveled.  She loved cats and dogs.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church.  Burial will be held in Pittsfield, MA.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Faith Medical Missions in memory of Eleanor Reinhold.
