Edyth Arbele “Kitty” Roberts, 92 of Harlingen, was peacefully called home to our Lord and Savior the morning of April 14, 2014. Kitty Roberts was born December 17, 1921 to Henry & Florence Maxey and was united in marriage to John William Roberts on April 5, 1942. She was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and playing 10,000, dominoes, and card games with her family.
Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James Edgar “Buddy” Roberts, grandsons Chad Allen & Richard Allen Roberts, sisters and brothers in law Emily (Bob) Hart, Oma Mildred (Russell) Roberts, and Thelma Loretta (Walter) Elam.
She is survived by her sons John William (Liz) Roberts of Harlingen; Richard Allen Roberts of Harlingen; daughter in law Ann Roberts of Round Rock; Grandkids John and Randi Roberts; Edgar and Amy Roberts; Christine and Frank Wallace; Steven and Christine Roberts; Cody Roberts; Raschel and Heath Wagstaff; Brandi and Jeff Mutscher; Russel and Courtney Roberts; and Todd and Linda Roberts; Sister Mitty Ozena (John T) Boatright of Round Rock; brother Edgar Ross (Paula) Maxey of Alvin; numerous great grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, 10 a.m., at Mont Meta Memorial Park with Dale House officiating.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to her caregiver and friend Carmen Ruiz, along with the staff at Canterbury Court for their excellent care and services these last few months.
