Edward (Eddie) Tieman

SAN BENITO, TX:
Edward (Eddie) Tieman, 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
He was born March 31, 1924 in Gouldbusk, Texas to Hermann and Bertha Tieman. Eddie proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.  In 1946 after his service he moved to Harlingen. Eddie was employed by Easterling-Van Tyne Pontiac for 17 years and then by Knapp Chevrolet for 20 years as a service manager and retired in 1983.  He was a member of the Elks and enjoyed golf and hunting.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, nine brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marion Harp Tieman; his daughter, Darleen (Robert) McDonald of San Benito; grandsons, Brandon McDonald and Clinton McDonald both of College Station; sister, Bertha Berry of Huntsville; and in-laws, Maxine and Jerry West of San Antonio and Jack and Betty Harp of Corpus Christi.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2007, 2 p.m., at Mont Meta Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. David Mann officiating.
