Douglas L. Kelly, 85, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. He was born September 13, 1926 in Harlingen to John A. and Margaret Weigelt Kelly. He graduated from Harlingen High School and attended Durham’s Business College. In 1947 Doug went to work for the San Benito Bank and Trust Co., starting in the bookkeeping department and retired in 1988 as Vice President and Trust officer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Angeline (Angie) Mixon, brother Charles A. Kelly and is survived by his brother Clyde W. Kelly and several nieces and nephews including David Kelly of Harlingen and Becky Nuss of Austin.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012, 11 a.m., in the Mausoleum Chapel at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
