Dorothy “Dottie” Jones, 68, passed away on July 1, 2014 in La Feria.
Dottie was born June 19, 1946 in Mercedes, Texas to Era Wisdom (Hunt) and Elmer Wisdom. She graduated from La Feria High School with the class of 1964 and then married Charles Jones. Dottie retired from Texas State Bank and was a member of La Feria Church of Christ.
Dottie is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Maple (Johnny) of La Feria; grandson, Charlie Maple of La Feria; sister, Judy Culver (Frank) of La Feria; niece, Lori Hayes (Ron) of San Antonio; nephew, Ken Johnson (Rhonda) of Tucson; and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Pace of New Orleans. She is also survived by five great nieces; two great nephews; one great great nephew; and several other nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents Era and Elmer Wisdom and her husband Charles Jones.
Dottie was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria with Gene Head officiating.
