Dolores (Rodriguez) Sandoval

April 26, 1927 — February 8, 2021

Dolores Sandoval, 93, closed her eyes to this world and opened them to see the face of her Savior and Lord on February 8, 2021.  She was born to the late Atilano and Nasaria Hernandez Rodriguez on April 26, 1927 in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

She was a homemaker, dedicating her time to her family.  Dolores loved gardening and was a fabulous cook.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She would often reminisce about the good times with her children.  She enjoyed entertaining her family with riddles.  Dolores also donated of her time at a nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilario Sandoval, Sr.; son, Jesus Sandoval; and her parents, Atilano and Nasaria H. Rodriguez.

Left to treasure her memory are Dolores’ children, Dina (Alberto) Gonzalez, Dimas (Blanca) Sandoval, Homero (Cynthia) Sandoval, Delia (Nick) Chavez, Felipe (Carol) Sandoval, Abel (Dotty) Sandoval, Albert Sandoval, Hilario (Irma) Sandoval, Jr., Miguel (Mari) Sandoval; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of La Trinidad Assembly of God Church of Rio Hondo, Texas.

Dolores’ family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  A prayer service will begin at 7 o’clock on Wednesday evening. (Click the link below the view a live-stream of the prayer service.) A graveside service and interment will take place Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Hilario Sandoval III, Juan Jose “JJ” Sandoval, Karl Rodman, Andrew Chavez, Dimas Sandoval, Jr., and Danny Chavez.

The Sandoval family thanks Dr. Lozano, Kindred Hospice and their nurses, providers Rosa, Noemi, and Stephanie for their compassionate care. The family is especially grateful to Lalo and Irma Sandoval and their children for taking care of Grandma, unconditionally 24/7, and always with love.
