Devin Rene Leal, 17, of San Benito, went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2016. He was born on March 8, 1999 to Jose (Joey) Leal, Jr. and Erica Pequeno-Silva. Devin was a loving son, brother, grandson, friend and beloved family member.
Devin had a love for taking things apart and fixing them. He wanted to be a mechanic and practiced on bikes and cars. He also loved to collect the latest tennis shoes. Devin loved spending time with family. He loved to fish with his late Grandpa Greg and help his Grandpa & Grandma Leal with the fireworks.
Devin had a contagious smile and happy spirit that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Although he was only with us for a short time, we will forever treasure his memories.
Devin is survived by his loving parents Jose(Joey)Leal Jr. and Erica(John)Pequeno-Silva;his brothers Jonathan Andrew Silva, Rylan Eric Silva, Ian Alexander Leal, Travis Michael Leal and one sister Tessa Koryn Leal. He also leaves behind his loving grandparents Jose and Carlota (Tita) Leal, Cynthia Nypaver, Pete(Rosa)Ramirez and Ronnie(Bea)Olivares; great grandparents Rene (Corina) Pequeno, Irma Villanueva and Paula Leal; his godparents Laura Mercado and Noe Leal and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will forever miss and love him but have faith that they will be reunited with him in heaven.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2016, beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home Chapel 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
