San Benito, TX Demencio Salazar Sr., 74, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Austin Tx. Demencio was born September 2, 1939 in San Benito TX. He attended San Benito High School and was employed at HISD. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and loved watching sports and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Martin and Eloisa Salazar, his brothers Jose Salazar and Martin Salazar Jr. and a daughter Yvonne Castellano.
Demencio is survived by his wife of 53 years, Yolanda Salazar his children Laura Esquivel( Jerry), Norma Salazar and Demencio Salazar Jr. His grandchildren Albert Lee Weaver III, Valerie Paz(Felix), Robert Castellano, Devon Salazar, great-grandchildren Angelica Ramirez, Nicolas Castellano, Robert Castellano III, Dominic Moreno, Hannah Castellano, Jasmine Paz and Felix Mateo Paz.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The Family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice, Bee Care Hospice and Paula Almaraz.
