Delia C. Villarreal, 75, passed peacefully to be in the presence of our Lord on May 29, 2008 after a beautiful and productive life. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.
She started and worked with her husband in their family business for over 50 years. She was a devout St. Anthony’s Catholic Church member. Delia was a fun- loving beautiful, generous person known by her kind smile and loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Maria G. Cortez.
Delia is survived by her sons, Carlos Villarreal, Michael Villarreal (Sallie), Victor Villarreal (Alayne); daughters, Melinda Hockaday (Bill), Betsy Galdean (Trin); grandchildren, Joseph, Christopher, Caroline, Anthony, Julie, Sarah, Jamie, Josaih, Abigail; brothers, Diego Cortez (Cruz), David Cortez (Ema), Danny Cortez (Terry).
Visitation will be from 10am to 9pm on Sunday June 1, 2008 at San Benito Funeral Home with a rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Services will be on Monday June 2, 2008 at 9am at San Benito Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Villarreal, Christopher Villarreal, Apolonio Villarreal, Gilbert Villarreal, Javier Ornelas and Mario Ornelas.
Donations may be made to the St. Anthony Building Fund at 209 S. 10th, Harlingen, TX 78550.
