David Byron Miller

August 27, 1941 — December 23, 2015

SAN BENITO, TX. – David Byron Miller, born on August 27, 1941 in San Benito, Texas to Clifford Byron and Elda Adele Miller, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center with his wife and children by his side. He was seventy-four years old.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force for eight years until he was honorably discharged in 1968. Afterwards, he worked at the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for the next thirty years in San Benito, retiring with his wife to see his grandchildren grow up. David was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, as well as a member of the First United Methodist Church in San Benito. He will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.

His parents, Clifford Byron and Elda Adele Miller; and brother, Johnny Lee Miller, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rosalva Ratliff Miller; son, James Clifford (Maria) Miller; daughter, Rhonda Renee (Justin) Lang; four wonderful grandchildren John David Miller, Edison Regis Lang, Monroe Byron Lang, and Wyatt Patrick Lang; and sister, Martha (Dennis) Merath.

Visiting hours are on Friday, December 25, 2015, beginning at three o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a prayer service to begin at seven o’clock Friday evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.

A chapel service will commence on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the morning. Interment with military honors will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

This is not a “good-bye” only that we will see each other again in Heaven and you will be standing waiting for us with open arms saying “Welcome Home!”
