Consuelo Rodriguez (88), passed away on Wednesday, the 5th of July 2016. Born in the city of Roma, Texas, to her parents Cipriano Castro and Santiaga Castro.
She loved cooking, sewing, gardening, enjoyed listening and singing to music, praying her rosary and loved attending Saturday MASS.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Juan M. Rodriguez, daughter Maria Anita Ramirez, two brothers Florencio Castro, Abraham Castro, and one sister Ignacia Elizondo.
Consuelo is survived by her loving children Andrea (JR) Zuniga, Juan (Connie) Rodriguez, Graciela Tony) Gonzales, Nancy (Johnny) Hinojosa, Patricia (David) Molina, and Leticia Rodriguez. She is also survived by by 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, two sisters Andrea Hernandez, Lupita Moreno, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as Consuelo’s pallbearers will be Joshua Hinojosa, David N. Molina, Ethan Camacho, Michael Rodriguez, Florentino Hernandez, and Tony Gonzales.
Visitation is Wednesday, the 20th of July 2016, beginning at 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel, 1400 West Highway 77, San Benito, Texas 78586.
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, the 21st of July 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00am. Interment will follow to San Benito Memorial Park.
