Constance (Connie) Hough, 87, passed away April 15, 2014 in Rio Hondo, TX.
Connie was born January 15, 1927 in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Harlingen High School with the class of 1944 and then went on to attend SMU. Connie married Jimmie Hough on March 1, 1946. She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Harlingen since her childhood. Connie was a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. She was an accomplished artist and pianist and an aerobics instructor for 15 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Williams.
Connie is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jimmie Hough of Rio Hondo, TX; her children, James Hough Jr. and wife Gail of Austin, TX, Sherryl Hough London and husband Gary of Rowlett, TX and Tom Hough of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Hough Scoggins and son Nathan of Austin, TX, David London of Houston, TX and Elizabeth London Cummings and husband Edward of Frisco, TX; sister-in-law, Juanita Hicks Hough of Austin, TX; and brother-in-law, Dr. Jerald P. Hough of Ft. Worth, TX.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2014, 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Harlingen with Rev. Don Higginbotham, Rev. Chris Hall, Rev. Robert Rodriguez and Dudley Blakeney officiating. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, TX.
