Clyde W. Kelly, 86, was granted his angel wings on April 13th 2017. A time for family to receive friends will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 21st 2017 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home in Harlingen. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22nd 2017 at Restlawn Memorial in La Feria with Deacon Reyes of St. Anthonys Catholic Church officiating.
Clyde was born on April 15th 1930 to John and Margaret Kelly. After graduating from Harlingen High School he enlisted in the US Army with a tour in Germany. He also worked for the Cameron County Sheriff's Department for many years. Clyde was also a Texas Ranger. After 22 years, he retired from Union Pacific Railroad as senior special agent, Lieutenant of police.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Angie Mixon and two brothers Charles and Douglas Kelly.
Survivors include his daughter, Traci Pfeil and husband Rick, two grandsons Cody Pfeil, Kevin Pfeil and his daughter Maddalynn (Clyde's beautiful great granddaughter)
Clyde will be missed dearly by his stepson, Daniel (Dana) Sanford, niece Becky Kelly Nuss (Mark) and nephew David Kelly (Francis) along with other relatives and close friends.
