Clifton Mack Miller (Sonny), 77, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Sonny was born on Mary 28, 1937 in Mercedes, Texas to Orris and Marie Miller. He was a longtime self-employed owner of C.M. Miller Contracting Co. Sonny had his pilots license for over 40years and loved to fly. He was proud of his Harley Davidson motorcycle that he drove up until the last 5 years. He also was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn football fan.
Sonny was a volunteer at the Texas Air Museum and the Confederate Air Force. He also flew for the Civil Air Patrol for many years. He will be remembered for his tireless work ethic and that he worked until his last days.
He is survived by wife, Jeanene; his first wife, Dorothy Pierce; children, Terrell (Martha) Miller of San Antonio, James (Becky) Miller of Harlingen, and Rhonda (Kristopher) McKinney of Harlingen; brother, John Boeye of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Freda Hitchcock, Travis Miller, Justin Bailey and Caroline Miller, William and Madison McKinney; and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will gather for a memorial visitation on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 1:00 PM, Monday, October 26, 2015 with the Rev. David Payne officiating.
