Claude Thomas Gardner

HARLINGEN:
Claude Thomas Gardner, 81, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Claude was born June 29, 1926 in Edwardsville, Illinois to James and Lillie (Lake) Gardner.  He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII and was awarded the American Area Ribbon, WWII Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon and Philippine Liberation Ribbon.  Claude retired from the Ford Motor Company, where he was employed as a tool and die machinist.  He loved to golf, fish, play pool, pitch horseshoes and bowl.
Claude is survived by his wife, Rose Nee Novath Gardner; children, Patricia Bogolia of Calfornia, Robert (Joyce) Gardner of Nevada and Russell (Norine) Gardner of Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Lee Gardner and James Gardner; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Claude’s Life will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007, 2 p.m., at the First Christian Church with Rev. Mark Coppins officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contribution be made to the Sandi Jo Funk Hospice, P.O. Box 2588, Harlingen, Texas 78551.
The Gardner family would like to thank Dr. Yardley, Dr. Seudeal, Dr. Shenkenberg, Dr. Bhatla, Dr. Loewen, and Sandi Jo Funk Hospice nurses for their love and care of Mr. Gardner.
