Clarence Howard (C.H.) Kenney

Clarence Howard (C.H.) Kenney entered rest on Friday, January 6, 2023 at the age of ninety-five. C.H. was born February 24, 1927 in Kingsville, Texas to Gaylord and Ella V. Kenney.

After completing his junior year of high school near the end of World War II, C.H. followed in his father’s and brother’s footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as a Military Police Officer. After completing his military service, he returned to school and graduated from Harlingen High School in 1946.

C.H. married Nelldean Alley on November 24, 1948. He and Nelldean were married for nearly fifty-nine years until her passing in 2007. Together they had two daughters: Kristin (Ray) Lafrenaye of Wilmington, North Carolina and Clarice “Rece” (Bill) Place of Harlingen, Texas.

He is survived by his two daughters and their spouses. Also left to treasure his memory are his three granddaughters, Kasie L. Joseph and Jennifer N. Joseph, both of Austin, Texas, and Crystal (Jaime) Cantu of Harlingen. Texas; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra (Joshua) Deimes of Harlingen, Texas, Hannah F. Cantu of Katy, Texas, and Corgan M. Jauregui of Woods Cross, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Angelcare Acres and Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care they provided to C.H. over the past several months.

Graveside service and interment will take place Friday, January 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
