Christopher Ryan Gallegos

SAN BENITO, TX. – Christopher Ryan Gallegos, born on April 27, 1996 in Harlingen, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was 19 years old.
Growing up, Chris was known for his beautiful eyes, contagious smile, and huge, caring heart. His family meant the whole world to him. He greatly enjoyed spending quality time with his father and treating his mother out on their days off. Chris loved his brothers very much and took pride in being their protector. During his high school years at San Benito High School, wrestling was his pride and favorite sport.
His uncles Antonio Gallegos and Rene Gallegos; and paternal grandfather, Juan Gallegos, Jr. and maternal grandfather Elijio Cortez, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his beloved fiancée, Alysha Lee Martinez; mother, Claudia Cortez; father, Sergio Gallegos; brothers Sergio Gallegos, Jr. and Joshua James Gallegos; his maternal grandmother, Maria Wynn and paternal grandmother, Maria Elena Gallegos; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting hours are on Friday, June 19, 2015, beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon and concluding at nine o’clock at night, with a recitation of the holy rosary to begin at seven o’clock in the evening within the San Benito Funeral Home Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at eleven o’clock in the morning, in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes Street, San Benito, Texas 78586.
Committal services will then follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as his pallbearers will be Gerardo Cortez, Antonio Bustos, Jr., Kevin Rangel, Ruben Rangel, Jr., Javier Melchor, Jacob Espinosa. His honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Sergio Gallegos, Jr. and Joshua James Gallegos.
