Christopher “Chris” S. Edmundson

December 18, 1965 — June 23, 2024

Christopher “Chris” S. Edmundson passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2024 at the age of 58. He leaves behind a legacy defined by hard work, compassion, and affection for others. His wife always said “if he was a kid now a days, he’d be on the back of a milk carton. That friendly.

Born to Jerry (Litain) Edmundson and Judy Lee in Waxa, where he spent the majority of his life. Chris held various roles at Nekoosa Packing in Waxa until its acquisition by Georgia Pacific. His dedication led him from a machine operator to a plant manager, forming lasting bonds with colleagues during his tenure of over two decades.

Chris later ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing his own trucking business as an owner/operator, leasing trucks from Timco Trucking for a span of 6 to 7 years. When he did something he did it right and gave it his all.

Alongside his devoted wife Roxanne Edmundson, Chris relocated to South Padre Island, Texas – fulfilling their shared aspiration of residing near the ocean roughly five years ago this upcoming January.

He is survived by his loving daughter Riki Lee Caplinger and her husband Steven Caplinger; as well as his two grandsons, Ely Caruso and Calhan Caplinger of Bonham, Texas.

Christopher’s ashes will be scattered at two of his most treasured locations: South Padre Island and Isla Mujeres in Mexico at later date.

May he rest in peace, no more suffering. The void left by his absence is profound, and he will be dearly missed beyond expression.
