Harlingen, TX/Nekoosa, WI: Charles James Slagle, 77, passed away December 9, 2009 in Harlingen, TX. Charles was born December 9, 1932 in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma to Wilfred and Nellie Slagle. He proudly served his country with U.S. Marines and was employed as an electrician for many years. Charles was a member of MAAC and St. Paul Cahtolic Church in Plainfield, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Nellie Slagle; brother, Richard Slagle; and son, Craig Slagle. Charles is survived by his wife, Diane Slagle; his children, Doug (Bonnie) Earp of California, David (Louise) Earp of Washington, Wayne Slagle of Wisconsin, Shelly Slagle of Wisconsisn, Craig (Dorie) Korfmahcer of Wisconsin and DeLynn Simonis of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jason Earp, Justin Earp, Kati Earp, Tayler Korfmacher, Anika Korfmacher, Bryce Simonis, Jimmy Wiese and Matt Wiese and special friend Katrina; great granddaughter, Megan Rose Earp; and one brother, Jerry (Sue) Slagle of Las Vegas, NV. A memorial service will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10 a.m.
