Charlie Griffith, 70, passed away on September 2, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
Charlie was born November 11, 1942 in Bishop, TX to Wiley and Kathleen (Runte) Griffith. He served his country with the U.S. Army. He was employed by Metro Electric and retired after 30 years of service. Charlie was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodwork.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Griffith of Harlingen; children, James (Lindsay) Griffith of Poth, TX and David (Ashley) Griffith of Ingleside, TX; mother-in-law, Marilee Harocastle; brother, Billy (Debbie) Griffith; sister-in-law, Mary Griffith Pack; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Griffith; mother, Kathleen Griffith Stillwell; brother, Jimmy Griffith, and infant sister.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013, at 7 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran with Pastor Nathan Wendorf officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013, 10 a.m., at Restland Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.
