Charles Edwin Brown

Charles Edwin Brown graduated into Jesus’ arms on June 2, 2016. He was born to Laura Frances Ingels and Harold Glenn Brown on July 4, 1925 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Charles graduated from Gallia Academy High School and entered the Naval Air Force during WWII. After his discharge, he married Patsy Ruth Haskins on June 23, 1946. He continued his education at Ohio State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree which led him to a job at Columbia Gas of Ohio as a systems analyst.
Before and after retirement, Charles and Pat traveled extensively with two trips to the Holy Lands and surrounding countries, all the United States, Canada and to the Guatemala border in Mexico before finally settling down at Fun N Sun Resort in San Benito, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy, and 3 children: Patricia (Richard) Vesper, Sue (Steve) Richards and Richard (Jeannie) Brown. His son, Lawrence Brown, preceded him in death. Charles is survived also by grandchildren Patricia Collins, Kelsey Walker, Kyle Vesper, Dustin Richards, Michael Richards, Katherine Endicott, Laura Baird and Ian Brown who gave him a total of 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Food Pantry in Rio Hondo, Texas.
