Harlingen, TX:
Charlene Ramza Meade, age 63, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, the 15th of April in Harlingen.
She was born on October 22, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas to Julian C. Masso and Cornelia Newton Masso.  She spent her early life in Matamoros, Mexico and then moved with her family to west Texas living in Lubbock and Plainview.  She was the valedictorian of Plainview High School in 1968 and then graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 1972.  In 1971 she married Gary, her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband of 43 years, whom she had met in elementary school.  Upon graduation she was a public school teacher in Brownfield and Plainview.
Charlene and family moved to Harlingen in 1979 where she and Gary opened the Bullrider Western Wear store. Her family retail business was one of her passions and helping customers, who often became friends, find the perfect pair of boots for 35 years at the Bullrider, or in more recent years, accessorizing ladies with the perfect jewelry at Cita's Boutique was something she truly enjoyed.
When she wasn’t at the store, she was busy helping her clients find the perfect home through her successful real estate business, earning the title of  top producer in the real estate community.  She was generous, loving and had a heart for helping people.
Charlene was actively involved in the community. She was a faithful member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Parish for over 35 years, serving as Lector, Eucharistic Minister and marriage counselor, and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic School Endowment Fund Board.  She was a member of The Junior League of Harlingen for 30 years, and also a long standing member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority- Preceptor Gamma Omicron Chapter.  She loved traveling and most of all being with her family.  Nothing brought her more joy than all of her family being together.
She was preceded in death by her father Julian C. Masso.
Charlene is survived by her mother Cornelia Masso of Weslaco.  She is also survived by her husband, Gary Meade; three children Gary Don (Julia) Meade of Spring, Texas; Jennifer (Collin) Rader of Boerne, Texas; and Scott (Kymberly) Meade of Harlingen. Charlene has three sisters:  Lucy (Tom) Murphy of Weslaco, Dolly (Lance) Robertson of Corpus Christi, and Melissa (Robert) Swanson of Houston.  Her beloved brothers are Arthur (Rosie) Masso of Harlingen and Marty (Beth) Masso of Weslaco.  She leaves behind four beautiful grandchildren William, Eli, Elin, and Luke.
