Catarino Sanchez

Catarino Sanchez, 88, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018.  He was born in Seguin, Texas on November 28, 1929 to Sabino Sanchez and Siria Villanueva.  Catarino was married to the late Crestina Rodriguez Sanchez who preceded him in death.  He worked as a building custodian before his retirement.

Among Catarino’s favorite pastimes was fishing. He was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.

Catarino was preceded in death by his wife Crestina; a son, Benito Sanchez; a daughter, Ana Molina; a great-grandson, Luke Andrew.

He is survived by his children, Fidel (Graciela) Sanchez, Susana (Pedro) Gomez, Josie (Randall) Wiggins, Catarino Sanchez, and Rafael Sanchez; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The Sanchez family will be receiving friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 8:00-10:00 AM at San Benito Funeral Home.  A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 AM. Catarino will then be laid to rest at Rio Hondo City Cemetery in Rio Hondo, TX.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jose Angel Molina, Randall D. Bouillion, Johnny Guzman, Rene Rias, Mark Sanchez, and Andres Molina.  Honorary pallbearer will be Rafael Sanchez.
