Cassie Stelling

Cassie Stelling of Harlingen, age 86, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017. Born December 29, 1930 in Hoshikawa, Japan, she lived in Florida, Alabama, and Southeast Asia before returning to the United States and settling in Harlingen in 1974 with her beloved husband of 39 years, John.  She is survived by her sons, William of Manchester, New Hampshire, and James of Austin, Texas.

Cassie had a life-long quest of self-improvement, enrolling in courses to improve her writing  and computer skills. She enjoyed flower arranging, knitting, quilt-making, gardening, and pampering her pets.

Cassie will be interred next to her late husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
