Carole Ann Sullivan, 64, passed away on May 15, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
Carole was born October 31, 1946 in Lincoln, NE to Donald G. and Helen F. Shirley. She received an Associate Degree of Nursing from St. Vincent’s Nursing School in Little Rock, AR. Carole was employed as a cardiac care nurse at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen, then as a school nurse at Harlingen C.I.S.D., where she retired from.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music and most recently enjoyed making jewelry, but most of all Carole enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Monique Denton.
Carole is survived by her daughter Shannon (Herlee) Cherrington of Laguna Vista; son, Scott Sullivan of Harlingen; and granddaughters, Claire Marie Cherrington, Summer Renee McGuire and Dakotah Reane Coder. Carole was the eldest of 12 brothers and sisters, Doug, Don, Kenneth, Dennis, Steve, Mary, Monica, Annette, Sharon, Phillip and Donna.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011, 10 a.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
