Carol Jean Koepp, 77, passed away June 13, 2012 in Harlingen. Carol was born August 8, 1934 in Mondovi, WI to Leo and Vera Deetz. She was employed with the Civil Service Defense Department for 31 years. Carol was a proud member of the VFW for over 40 years; she was president of Women’s Auxiliary and received several awards for district, state and federal. She also held presidency of the Minnesota Chapter of the Cooties. Carol was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Harlingen.
Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Sherwood “Bud” Koepp; son, Richard Koepp (Michelle) of Medina, MN; grandson, Christopher Koepp of Minneapolis, MN; granddaughter, Stephanie “Jonnie” Kelson of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Robert Deetz; sister, Donna Flynn; and special friend, Florence Wegan. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Leo and Vera Deetz.
A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 602 Morgan Blvd in Harlingen. Burial will held in Crystal, MN at later date.
