Carmen N. Nelson, 78, passed away on January 21, 2011 at a nursing center in Harlingen.
Carmen was born February 13,1932 in Wausau, WI to Julius and Caroline Kcikhoefer. Carmen was employed with Hennedin County Library, where she was retired from. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Texas and the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Minnesota. Carmen enjoyed golf and gaming.
She is survived by her husband, Donald C. Nelson; children, Carol (Tim) Gallivan, Cheryl (Bruce) Artmann, Ed Kowal and Mark (Kristi) Kowal; stepchildren, Richard (Myra) Nelson, Rhonda (Bob) Wall and Sandra McAllister; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 6, 2011, 3 p.m., at the Sunshine Country Club in Harlingen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Loaves and Fishes, 514 South E Street, Harlingen, Texas 78550.
