Brownsville, TX: Carmen Garcia, 60, of Brownsville, TX passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
Carmen graduated from San Benito High School and attended Texas Southmost College; she was employed with San Benito CISD for 34 years; she had devoted herself to making others happy, enjoying her granddaughter, traveling, shopping, and seeing what the world had to offer.
She is preceded in death by her father, Modesto; her sister, Paula; and mother in law, Margarita.
Carmen is survived by her loving husband, Adan Garcia; her children, Orlando (Roxana), Veronica (Josh), and Sergio; her granddaughter, Katia Josefina Garcia; her mother, Octaviana; her brothers and sisters, Fermin, Modesto, Jr. (Gracie), Jovah Ajello (Michael), Olivia, Yolanda DeAnda (Richard), Arnold (Renae), and Corina.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Holy Rosary prayed at 7:00 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home.
The funeral precession will depart San Benito Funeral Home on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 9:30 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church located at 1055 Military Rd. in Brownsville. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
