Bruna R. Garcia, 86, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on April 9, 2012 at her home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on October 6, 1925 in Howe, TX. Despite her illness, she was very caring and compassionate, cherished every moment and lived life to its fullest.
Bruna is survived by her loving family; daughters, Leocadia (Federico) Lopez Jr. of San Benito, TX and Sylvia (Juan) Torres of Pasadena, TX; son, Macario (Mary Helen) Beltran of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Humberto Reyna of Olmito, TX; sister, Andrea Becerra-Garcia of Michigan; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
The funeral procession will depart Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow at Las Rusias Cemetery.
