Bobby Vernon Watts, 77, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Bobby was born March 4, 1933 in Rio Hondo, TX to Oliver and Hattie Watts. He graduated from Rio Hondo High School with the class of 1952. Bobby was employed with the Harlingen Fire Department from 1959 to 1972 and then with Loomis Armored Company of Houston from 1978 until 1996 when he retired.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Watts; son, Wade (Rebecca) Watts; granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Watts; nephews, Mony and Micky James; and numerous other family members.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 1 p.m., at Mont Meta Memorial Park with Pastor Daniel Brotzman officiating.
