Bobby G. Asbridge, of Harlingen, Texas, peacefully passed from this life September 18, 2021 at 85 years of age. He was born to the late Harold and Geneva Asbridge on December 19, 1935 in Elvins, Missouri.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of Airman First Class. He attended Longview Community College in Kansas City, Missouri where he completed an associate of business administration degree. He was a dedicated employee of Upjohn Pharmaceuticals for 30 years until his retirement.
Bobby enjoyed being around people, telling jokes, and sharing stories. He most loved spending time with his family and friends. His children’s friends called him Dad; his grandchildren’s friends called him Grandpa. He was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Harlingen.
Left to treasure Bobby’s memory are his children, Gayle Asbridge Stiles (Bob), Mark Asbridge, and Lisa Asbridge; grandchildren, Amanda Case (Shannon), Casey Kinnison, Anthony Asbridge, Taylor Asbridge; and great grandchild, Aaron James Asbridge.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Asbridge; brother, Jack Asbridge; and sister, Betty Wunning.
In keeping with Bobby’s wishes, he was cremated. A private interment ceremony with full military honors took place at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
