Bobbie Janette Clemons

At 92, Bobbie entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.  She was born December 16, 1930 in Dallas Texas to Zelma and Ruth Reynolds.  She attended Texas State College for Women in Denton Texas.

She married Gayle Louis Clemons in 1951 and had 4 children.  She was employed by Pharr San Juan Alamo ISD, Donna ISD, Weslaco ISD, and Los Fresnos ISD as a teacher.  She retired in 1985.

She was actively involved in her churches, including the First Christian Church in Weslaco and the Faith Christian Church in Harlingen.  She was also an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma and dedicated her spare time to her crafts, painting, gardening, traveling and taking care of stray cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Zelma in 1979 and Ruth in 1997, and her husband Gayle in 2008.

She is survived by her brother John Reynolds (Pauline) of New Braunfels, TX; sons: Gary Clemons of Harlingen TX; Kyle Clemons (Michele) of Sachse, TX; daughters: Kathy Williams (Gary) of San Marcos, TX; Carol Schmitt (Mark Gibbs) of San Juan; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren and numerous others.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on her birthday, December 16 at 10:30 am at the Faith Christian Church in Harlingen, TX with Pastor Mark Coppins officiating.  Her ashes will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito on October 27.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Doctors Without Borders , Faith Christian Church of Harlingen , or charity of choice.
