Bobbie Jean Ammons

Bobbie Jean Ammons went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 4th, 2018.   She was born in Grand Prairie, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Odie Lee Curry on July 16th, 1934.

She is survived by her three children, Kathy Keene of South Padre Island Texas, Joni Breaux of Lacombe Louisiana, and Danny Webb of Harlingen, Texas. She is also survived by her two granddaughters Patricia Mumford and Cavita Flores, and her two grandsons, Jonathan Webb and David Webb of Harlingen Texas.  She is also survived by her six great grandchildren, Burgandy Nieto and Lauren Partain of Austin Texas, and Hayden Flores, Lane Flores, Logan Flores, and Michael Partain of Harlingen, Texas, and one great great grandson Noah Partain.  She is further survived by one sister, Velma Leetta  Hurley of Harlingen, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald H. Ammons, and by two sisters, Dixie Lee Rutherford and Dorothy Ella Gaskins, and by two brothers, Walter Wilson Curry and Don L. Curry.

She was a retired bookkeeper.  Throughout her lifetime she always had an amazing Faith in God and a love for her family that she shared with those she knew everyday.

She spent her final years surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as those were what she loved most dearly.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 8th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m., at Mont Meta Mausoleum Chapel.
