Billy “Bill” Paul McCormick passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 after a brief illness.
Bill was born on September 14, 1951 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky to William and Mary McCormick while William was serving in the U.S. Army. Being raised in a military family, he spent much of his life living in Europe as well as the United States, ultimately settling in La Feria, Texas.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Amy (Graeme) Bowles, son, Paul McCormick, his parents, and 4 brothers, Shelly (Regina) McCormick of Apopka, Florida, Wayne (Delores) McCormick of Edmond, Oklahoma, Mitch (Penni) McCormick of Harlingen, Texas, Steve (Sandra) McCormick of Brownsville, Texas, one grandson Gavin Bowles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E.A. and Carrie McCormick, his maternal grandparents, Charles and Jackie Taylor and his brother, John McCormick.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Perez officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Harlingen, Texas.
