Beverly Lynn Culver, age 79, passed away on September 5, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.
Lynn, as she was known, was born on June 11, 1943, in Monticello, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Marvin Lytle and Lorraine Arrington Lytle.
Lynn enjoyed a career in the airline industry working for Trans Texas/Texas International/Continental Airlines in Houston and Longview, Texas and American Airlines in New York City and Dallas, Texas.
After retirement from American Airlines, Lynn studied horticulture and worked for Guenter’s Gardens in Salem, Oregon. After relocating to South Padre Island, Texas, she worked for South Padre Resort Rentals and Cactus Flower Interiors.
By nature, Lynn was somewhat restless and was always ready to learn something new. She enjoyed photography, horticulture, cooking, traveling, birding, music, wildlife, and walking the beach.
Lynn was a people person and enjoyed sharing her quick wit and keen sense of humor with others. She was a very caring person and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Culver; her parents; beloved grandmother, Leona Arrington; sister, Stephanie Williams, brother, Gaston Raoul III; and her always-loving cat companion, Dolly.
Lynn is survived by her son, James McDonald, Jr.; stepsons, Jeff (Laura) Culver and Jaime Hadley; sister, Leah (DeWayne) Dies, brother, Philip (Melissa) Lytle; five granddaughters; her cousins, nieces and nephews; her companion cat, Lady; and special friend, Sharon Wade.
A heartfelt thanks to friend, Dr. Frank Mazzola, M.D., and his wife Yulma.
Cremation will follow with ashes to be scattered at sea off the coast of South Padre Island, Texas.
Per Lynn’s request, no services will be held.
