Beulah (Bee) Lantz, born January 15, 1921, joined our Lord and Savior Thursday after a very lengthy illness at Golden Palms Health Care Center. She had an active and productive life before becoming ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Edna Kirby and her 4 siblings. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 48 years, Ersel Lantz.
Bee is survived by her two children, Donald (Aurora) Lantz of Harlingen and Patricia (Bud) Morris of Carlsbad California. Surviving also are four grandchildren, Andrew (Aura) Lantz, Monique (Shawn) Marshall of Victoria, Christopher Morris from New York and Ellen Morris from Maine. She also had six great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Before moving to Harlingen, Bee lived in Galveston and Brownsville, Texas. She was active in her churches wherever she lived. While living in Brownsville, she and her husband were active in the Lions Club and the Red Cross. After moving to Golden Palms Retirement Center, she taught classes there and was involved in many of their activities. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Leibert and the staff of Golden Palms for all their work and support during this time.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at Wesley UMC, Harlingen on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11 a.m.
