Betty Zurita-Silva

Betty Zurita-Silva, 47, of Los Fresnos, passed away on May 25th 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.
Betty was born in Brownsville, Texas to Raul and Beatriz Zurita on October 27th 1969. She went to school at Los Fresnos. She married Lucindo Silva Jr. on October 23rd 1990 in Los Fresnos, Texas. She was a graduate from University of Texas at Brownsville. She worked as a substitute teacher for LFCISD for many years. She enjoyed cooking, organizing events and most of all she loved baking cakes.
Betty is preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Saul, Cindy and Aurora Zurita. Also preceding her in death are her grandparents Perdo and Aurora Zurita, Manuela and Guadalupe Tellez.
Betty is survived by her husband Lucindo Silva Jr. along with her children Ashley and Marc Silva. She is also survived by her parents Raul and Beatriz Zurita and her siblings Raul Jr., Nelly, Robert, and Paul Zurita.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Benito Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 1, 2017 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos. Interment will follow at Los Cuates Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of San Benito Funeral Home, 1400 W Business Highway 77, San Benito. (956)-361-9192.
