Betty J. (Weber) Schindler arrived October 2, 1926 at Mrs. Cowden’s home for new babies and mothers. There were no hospitals at that time. Betty was the oldest child of Ernest C. and Emma Hamm Weber.
She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she was a valued employee for over 38 years. During Betty’s long tenure at Southwestern Bell, she worked as a telephone operator and plant assigner. In her leisure time, she loved to sew and especially enjoyed making blankets and teddy bears for children.
Betty was preceded in death by her spouses, Carroll Edward Stout, Rufus Banks, and Bill Schindler; her youngest daughter, Janice Stout Fields; her parents, Ernest and Emma Weber; and her siblings, Donald Weber, Edward Weber, Dorothy Weber Kloepping; Elizabeth "Tiny" Weber Mehler, and Clarence Weber.
Left to treasure her memory is her daughter, Carolyn Stout House (Lawson); grandchildren, Heather Fields Hiser (Billy), Shannon Fields Brown, Christopher S. House (April), and Jonathan M. House (Stephanie); great-grandchildren, Bailey House, Braeden House, Lyric Brown, Austyn Hiser, Teagan Brown, and Haleigh Hiser; her brother, Lawrence Weber; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A special thank you to Kim McFarland (Stanley) who was with Betty when she met the Lord on August 7, 2022.
