Houston/San Benito, TX: Beatriz De La Garza, 85, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 in Houston.
She was a parishioner of St. Benedict Catholic Church and was employed with San Benito CISD as a paraprofessional for 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo De La Garza; her daughter, Beatriz De La Garza; and her parents, Eusebio and Raquel Alamia Mendez.
Beatriz is survived by her children, Catalina De La Garza, Clarisa De La Garza, and Dalia (Ifrain) Zavala; 3 grandchildren, Kathy (Bob) Ortbals, Kristen Morales, and Jaclyn Zavala; 2 great grandchildren, Jalen Herrera and Noah Ortbals; and a brother, Armando Mendez.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at San Benito Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart at that time for a 1:00 P.M. Funeral Mass at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Deacon Manuel Sanchez officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
