Barbara Martin Williams, 67, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 with her devoted husband by her side into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Barbara was born on December 30, 1947 in Logansport, IN to John R. and Gail Patty Martin. She was a 1966 graduate of Logansport High School and an employee of Small Parts/MPI Corp. for 45 years. She was a resident of Logansport until 2010 when she and her husband retired to Harlingen, TX.
Barbara was known for her caring heart and enjoyed nothing more then helping others while being in service to the Lord whether it be on a mission trip to Haiti or her weekly children’s stories at church. While living in Indiana she was a member at the Baptist Temple in Logansport and Burnettsville First Baptist, transferring her membership to First Christian Church of Harlingen when moving south.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Michael L. Williams, Harlingen, TX and her family in Indiana including children: Meghan Williams, Kelly (Scott) Beck, Tim (Amy) Williams; grandchildren: Alex (Darcy) Beck, Joshua Beck, Carly (Oliver) Vickers, Gabe Williams, Kris Beck, Teddy Beck and Isaac Williams; great-grandchildren: Mason and Madeline Beck. Sister: Patricia (Patrick) Martin-Brown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life and home going will be held Sunday, July 19th at 2 pm at First Christian Church of Harlingen with Minister Mark Coppins presiding and burial immediately following at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Barbara’s name to Real Hope for Haiti at: RHFH, 15215 Endeavor Drive, Noblesville, IN 46060.
