Barbara Ann Lamberth, 79, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Barbara was born on December 19, 1937 in Sherman, Texas to Robert and Josephine Lamberth.
Barbara was a graduate of Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas and received her Master's Degree from there as well. She was a school teacher for 42 years where she taught biology, world and American history and world geography. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and doing needlepoint. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa International Honor Society for Educators. She also had a great interest in foreign countries and their cultures and history, current affairs and the advancement of women's concerns.
She is survived by a cousin, Ken Gray and close friends, Mary Jane Mattox, Mary Nell Mattox and Margaret Mattox.
Visitation hours will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held also at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 10:00 AM, Friday, August 4, 2017 with the Rev. J.J. Wicke officiating. Burial will be private at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas next to her parents.
