Barbara Jean Zenk Kobel, 69, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her residence on South Padre Island, TX.
Barbara was a former resident of Naperville, IL and Crystal Lake, IL. She has been a resident of South Padre Island, TX for the past 22 years where she operated and owned with her husband the Coral Reef Lounge.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Christian Kobel; children, Randy Glosson and wife, Mary, Ronald Glosson and wife, Kim, Colleen Beumel and husband, Andy; Richard Glosson and wife, Debbie; brothers, John Zenk of Bull Valley, IL and Bob Zenk of Hamilton, IL; sisters, Sandy Cutter of Denver, CO, Vickie Kahle of Denver, CO, and Jeannie Mortz of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Taylor Beumel, Samantha Beumel, Anthony Glosson, Blake Glosson, Rachel Glosson, Pam Glosson, Katie Glosson and Jennifer Glosson. She was preceded in death by sister, Judy Brock and brother, Stevie Zenk.
A Memorial Service for Barbara will be held at Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, TX, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 19, 2009. A reception will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the Coral Reef Lounge, 5301 Padre Blvd on South Padre Island.
Barbara will be most remembered for her loving spirit and also for her generosity.
The family request that those desiring to do so may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, North Cameron Unit, P.O. Box 1532, Harlingen, TX 78551-1532.
