Barbara Lori Hunt

January 4, 1942 — May 14, 2021

Barbara “Lori” Hunt, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Buchanan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 13, 2021.

She is survived by her son, Duane J. Hunt (Lisa) of Troutville; daughters, Lisa Smith (Bobby) of Roanoke, VA, Kristi O’Riley of Sun Valley, AZ; ten grandchildren, Emily Switzer, Katie Hunt, Matthew, Nathan, and Sarah Marrs, Bob, Marianna, Lydia, Zoe, and Noah O’Riley; three great-grandchildren, Lucy, Ava, and Wyatt Switzer; sister, Jo Ellen Smith (John); and brother, Butch Reid (Tamara).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert Hunt and her parents, Oliver and Dorothy Reid.

Lori was a devoted follower of Christ and led Bible studies in her home for the past 20 years.  She also spoke at many women’s gatherings testifying about the power and grace of God.  In addition, Lori was an avid RV traveler and a mission volunteer in the United States and Canada; including, Alaska, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Utah, and Arizona.  Winters were spent in South Texas working with Zavala Ministries and Casa Hogar Benito Juarez Children’s Home in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, México
