Aymaar Nelson

Aymaar Nelson, 75, passed away September 19, 2008 at Sunshine Haven in Olmito.
Aymaar was born January 12, 1933 in Arcadia, WI to Veronica (Schneider) and Aymaar Nelson.  He married Agnes Rebhahn on November 28, 1953 in Arcadia, WI until the time of her death in 1989.  Then he married Nilah Arnold-Bahr on December 18, 1990 in Sun Prairie, WI.
Aymaar retired in 1979, after 27 years of service from the United States Air Force with the Rank of Chief Master Sergeant and then retired in 1992, after 11 years from the United States Post Office.
He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knight.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and golfer and enjoyed woodworking. He was the Captain of his high school football team his senior year that was undefeated and not scored on.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Agnes, his brother, Gaylord; his grandson, Christopher and several brother and sisters-in-law.
Aymaar is survived by his wife, Nilah Nelson; children, Joseph (Denise) Nelson of Paducah, KY, Kathleen (Brian) Burr of Onalaska, WI, Eric Nelson of Madison, WI, and Carla (Gary) Happel of Madison, WI; step-children, Rose Mulqueen (Tom Welch) of Eagle, WI, Robert (Dawn) Devlin of Milwaukee, WI, Rita Krueger of Oak Creek, WI, Ruth Fischer (Mike Sellars) of Franklin, WI and Ramona (Pedro) Aponte of Spring TX; 18 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is his sister, Mrs. Shirleigh Onsrud of Minneapolis, MN/Harlingen, TX; his brother, Pat (Florence) Nelson of Arcadia, WI ; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Amanda Nelson of Brookfield, WI.
A memorial visitation will be held at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harlingen on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 10 a.m.
