SAN BENITO, TX. - Aurora E. “Nena” Escamilla, 89, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen.
She was preceded in death by her mother Aurora Narro Montalvo; her father Alessio Getner; her husband Juan Escamilla; her son Richard De La Garza, her daughter Carmen De La Garza; her great-grandchild Andrew Stephens and her brother Frederick Montalvo.
She is survived her children, Robert H. “Bobby” (Sonia) De La Garza, Alfonso De La Garza, Jr., Alex (Itzel) Garza, her 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at San Benito Funeral Home.
Mass of Resurrection will be held from 10 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1001 W. Hwy 77, San Benito, TX 78586. Entombment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as Nena's pallbearers will be Mike Rangel, Jeff Rangel, Silver Areanas, Bill Stephens, Sergio Villasenor, and Harvey Penaflor.
