Arthur Joseph Trepanier, Jr., 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011 with his loving and caring wife of 56 years, Lavon at his side.
Arthur was born May 6, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to Arthur J. Trepanier, Sr. and Hester M. Menning. Art was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and was a self employed entrepreneur that always enjoyed a challenge. Art attended the First Church of the Nazarene of Harlingen, Texas and the Church of God of Prophecy in Casper, WY. Throughout his life he enjoyed the game of golf, fishing, oil painting, and gardening to name a few. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and member of the Golden K Kiwanis Club. He was blessed with more friends than can be numbered.
Art was preceded in death by his youngest son Steve and his brothers, James and Ronnie.
He is survived by his wife, Lavon; children, Frank (Kate), Michelle (Mike), Paul (Nancy), and Lauri; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth and Renee; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Trepainer family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. James Castillo for his friendship, constant care, support and compassion in our time of need.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 25th, 1 p.m., at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 710 Ed Carey Dr. Harlingen, TX.
