HARLINGEN:
Arthur L. Thomas, 88, passed away Friday, November 2nd in Harlingen, Texas.
He was born on October 1st, 1919 in Butler, Missouri to Le Nora and Simon R. Thomas.
Arthur served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He enjoyed gardening and was the family historian with genealogy and photography.
When he retired he moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Green Bay South in La Feria, Texas. His last years were spent at the Harlingen Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Lundahl Thomas; his parents and six brothers and sisters, Sylva May Wallace Thomas, Thelma Corb, Raymon Thomas, Gladys Gibbs, and Louise Deardorff.
Arthur is survived by many nieces and nephews including Darryll Lundahl of Newport, Oregon, Jackie Shelton of Pittsburg, Missouri and Carolyn (Ed) Harvey of Harlingen, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007, 10 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Texas.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurse’s aides and staff members of the Harlingen Rehabilitation Center.
